For creators working at home in dense cities there are many options to choose from when picking crafting surfaces. Many of them are overly complex and miss out on a simple opportunity: In spaces lacking room for large dedicated surfaces, the floor is actually the largest surface for working on projects.

‍This became even more apparent when 95% of submissions to my poll, reported using the floor to assemble furniture and other craft activities. Their reasons being that the floor gave them the most real estate to work.
